HOUSTON (ICIS)--US polyvinyl chloride (PVC) producer Westlake is planning an annual turnaround at its Louisiana plant in Geismar that begins this week, a company spokesman said on Monday.

The Geismer plant manufactures PVC and vinyl chloride monomer (VCM). It also manufacturs ethylene dichloride (EDC), according to the company website.

The turnaround is scheduled to last about two weeks and will not result in any customer impact, spokesman Dave Hansen said in an email.

Exact dates of the turnaround were not available.
