LONDON (ICIS)--Italian chemical firm Polynt will shut down its plasticisers facilities at San Giovanni Valdarno, near Florence, on 20 December for a 10–14 day turnaround, a company source said on Tuesday.
Polynt's units have a combined capacity of 110,000 tonnes/year for all plasticisers, including dioctyl phthalate (DOP), di-propyl heptyl phthalate (DPHP), di-isononyl phthalate (DINP) and tri octyl trimellitate (TOTM).
The company expects to build up enough inventory to be able to continue to supply its customers during the operations.
