SINGAPORE (ICIS)--South Korea’s S-Oil is eyeing a $30/tonne (€23/tonne) drop for its December paraxylene (PX) contract price, market sources said on Thursday.
The November PX Asian Contract Price (ACP) was fully settled at $1,500/tonne CFR Asia.
S-Oil proposed a contract price of $1,470/tonne CFR (cost & freight) Asia for December shipments, according to at least two customers of the South Korean aromatics maker.
Rival producers ExxonMobil, JX Nippon Oil & Energy and Idemitsu Kosan had earlier nominated their December PX ACP at $1,500/tonne CFR Asia, $1,470/tonne CFR Asia and $1,500/tonne CFR Asia, respectively.
