BASF looks at opening catalysts plant in central Europe

LONDON (ICIS)--BASF is considering opening a new catalysts plant in central and eastern Europe, the German chemical company said on Friday.

An ongoing analytical process is considering potential locations for the plant which would produce catalysts for cars and trucks, BASF added.

A source at BASF Bulgaria said that Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Macedonia and Romania had been shortlisted as possible locations for the investment.
