HOUSTON (ICIS)--US butadiene (BD) production in October totalled 232m lb (105,000 tonnes), a 13% drop from the 266m lb produced in the same month in 2010, consulting firm Jacobs Consultancy said on Wednesday.
BD production in October also fell by 6% compared with 248m lb produced in September, the group said in its monthly Hodson report.
Measured on a daily rate, BD output last month fell by 9% versus September, according to the report.
US crackers operated at 87.6% of capacity in October, down from 89.3% in September but up from 87.2% in October 2010, the report showed.
