Brazil Braskem restarts Triunfo cracker after maintenance

HOUSTON (ICIS)--Brazil-based resins maker Braskem has restarted its Triunfo 2 cracker, which was down for planned maintenance, the company said on Wednesday.

The 537,000 tonne/year cracker resumed operations on 26 November, Braskem said.

The unit was off line for around 30 days.

Braskem has a second steam cracker at the site, Triunfo 1, with 713,000 tonnes/year of capacity.

The company also has an ethanol-to-ethylene (green ethylene) plant in Triunfo with 200,000 tonnes/year of capacity.
