LONDON (ICIS)--An initial European toluene contract for December has been reported at $1,045/tonne (€773/tonne), within the range of last month’s settlements of $1,037-1,050/tonne, one buyer confirmed on Thursday.
The buyer said that the number was relatively stable, representing a steady market for the upcoming month.
However, one producer said that while the market has remained quiet over November, there has been some purchasing going on outside of contractual business, not just between traders but from end users as well.
The settlement was done on a free on board (FOB) northwest Europe (NWE) basis. Further confirmation from other players is pending.
