SHANGHAI (ICIS)--China’s Jilin Connell Group plans to build a 360,000 tonne/year aniline project in Inner Mongolia next year, a company source said on Tuesday.
The plant, which will be located at Tongliao city, is expected to start construction in April 2012 and is due for start-up in end-2013, the source added.
Meanwhile, the company plans to build a 120,000 tonne/year ammonia plant and one 270,000 tonne/year nitric acid plant at the same site during the same period, said the source.
Jilin Connell has started up one 180,000 tonne/year aniline plant in October this year at Jilin city of Jilin province, northeast China.
On 5 December, the company had signed a letter of intent with Dow Chemical on providing aniline supply for Dow's production of methyl di-p-phenylene isocyanate (MDI) production at the US firm's Freeport complex in Texas.
