HOUSTON (ICIS)--Petroplus on Tuesday lowered the estimated fourth-quarter throughput for its Coryton refinery in the UK as a result of mechanical problems.
Switzerland-based Petroplus said it repaired the refinery after it experienced a problem that caused fouling at its fluid catalytic cracker (FCC) wet gas compressor.
“Repairs have been completed, and the refinery will return to normal operations in the coming days,” Petroplus said.
Petroplus revised the refinery’s fourth-quarter throughput guidance to 140m-150m bbl/day.
The refinery’s earlier throughput guidance was 170m-180m bbl/day.
