SINGAPORE (ICIS)--SK Energy is in the process of feeding in feedstock naphtha into its two crackers at Ulsan in South Korea, and the production of on-spec ethylene is expected to be available on 8 December, a company source said.
The two crackers can produce 190,000 tonnes/year and 690,000 tonnes/year of ethylene and they were operating at 70% and 100% capacity, respectively, before the outage on 6 December, he added.
“We will be maintaining the same level of operating rates,” he said.
