China's Shandong Huamao started new BR plant early December

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China's Shandong Huamao Industry started its 100,000 tonne/year butadiene rubber (BR) plant in Shandong province early this month, a company source said on Friday.

"The feedstock has been added to the new plant and it may produce BR in late December", the source said. The feedstock for BR is butadiene (BD).

The company started to build the plant in May 2011. Output from the facility may increase BR supply in the north China market, said the source.

The company's new styrene butadiene rubber (SBR) plant may start running in the first quarter of 2012, the source added.

Shandong Huamao Industry is a private enterprise with registered capital of yuan (CNY) 88m ($14m).
