SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Zhejiang Cenway New Synthetic Materials shut its 50,000 tonne/year isobutylene-isoprene copolymers (IIR) plant in Zhejiang for maintenance on 11 December, market sources said on Monday.

The plant will be off line for 40-50 days, but an exact restart date has not been provided by the producer, a source said.

The plant shutdown will cause supply to fall and thus boost the domestic IIR market, the source added.
