“We have achieved on-spec production,” the company source added.
The producer shut the unit on 19 October for a scheduled three-week maintenance, but delayed the restart to 10 December because of mechanical difficulties, according to the source.
As a result of the delay, the company is expected reduce its loadings for December by up to 30%, the source said.
However, PIC is targeting to deliver its full contract quantities for the January-loading period, the source added.
PIC has no scheduled turnarounds in 2012, according to the company source.
