DUBAI (ICIS)--Iran’s Marun Petrochemical may export more ethylene next year if the operating rates at its 1.1m tonne/year gas cracker at Bandar Imam are raised to 100% of capacity, a company source said on Tuesday.
The cracker has operated at an average of 90% capacity this year, said the source.
The producer exported 4,000 tonnes of ethylene to Asia between April and December this year, the source added.
He was speaking on the sidelines of the 6th GPCA (Gulf Petrochemicals & Chemicals Association) Forum.
The 6th GPCA Forum is being held in Dubai from 13–15 December, with the theme Moving Downstream – Creating Value and Sustainable Growth.
