China's Guizhou Jinchi Chemical to start up methanol plant

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Guizhou Jinchi Chemical plans to bring on stream its 300,000 tonne/year methanol plant at Zunyi in Guizhou on 15 December, a company source said on Wednesday.

The company invested yuan (CNY) 2bn ($314m) to build the plant, which use coal as feedstock, according to the source.

It is expected to achieve on-spec production as scheduled at the end of this month, the source added.

The company is a subsidiary of Guizhou Chitianhua Group in Guizhou.
