SHANGHAI (ICIS)--China’s Ningbo ZRCC Lyondell Chemical (NZLC) lowered the operating rate at its propylene oxide (PO) facility earlier this week because of a minor technical fault, a source close to the company said on Thursday.

“The current operating rate is at 50–60%. However, this maintenance is close to the end. The plant is likely to resume regular production tomorrow," the source added in Mandarin.

The producer's facility at Ningbo in Zhejiang province has a nameplate capacity of 285,000 tonnes/year of PO and 620,000 tonnes/year of styrene monomer (SM).

PO prices in China are at yuan (CNY) 11,900–12,300/tonne ($1,868–1,931/tonne) DEL (delivered) eastern China for spot customers, according to data from ICIS.
