“The cracker will be shut from 1 March to 10 April,” the source said.
The March shutdown is earlier than the company’s original plan for a 40-day maintenance shutdown from 10 April.
The source did not comment on the reason for the change.
During the turnaround, the nameplate ethylene capacity at the cracker is expected to be increased to 1m tonnes/year.
