China’s Nov petrochemical outputs increase steadily year on year

SHANGHAI (ICIS)--China’s petrochemical output grew steadily in November with benzene, acetic acid and methanol increasing by 36.5%, 22.5% and 19.3% year on year respectively, according to data from China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation (CPCIF) on Friday.

Crude processing output reached 37.87m tonnes in November, increasing by 3.2% year on year while its total output during January to November was 408m tonnes, up 5.3% year on year, according to the CPCIF data.

Ethylene output in November reached 1.32m tonnes, a 1.9% year-on-year increase and total output from January to November showed 13.96m tonnes, an increase of 7.4% year on year.

Benzene output showed a large year on year increase of 36.5% to 666,000 tonnes in November while total output reached 5.96m tonnes from January to November, the data showed.
