SHANGHAI (ICIS)--BASF has announced some changes to its board of executive directors, according to a company statement on Friday.
The BASF SE supervisory board appointed Wayne Smith to the board of executive directors with effect from 27 April 2012, the statement added.
Smith, who will replace Stefan Marcinowski, is currently the head of BASF’s polyurethanes division and is headquartered at ?xml:namespace>
Marcinowski will retire when his contract ends on 27 April 2012 after 15 years on the board.
Meanwhile, the supervisory board has extended the appointment of research executive director, Andreas Kreimeyer, until May 2015.
Kreimeyer has been a member of the board of executive directors since 2003.
