HOUSTON (ICIS)--US ethylene production in November totalled 4.414bn lb (2.0m tonnes), a 7.3% increase from 4.113bn lb produced in the same month in 2010, consulting firm Jacobs Consultancy said on Wednesday.
Ethylene output in November also rose by 2.1% compared with 4.323bn lb in October, the group said in its monthly Hodson report.
If measured on a daily rate, ethylene production in the US last month climbed by 5.5% from October, according to the report.
US crackers operated at 93% of capacity in November. The figure is up from 88.1% in October and 86.7% in November 2010, the report showed.
