Japan’s JX Nippon Oil restarts crude unit at Mizushima refinery

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Japan’s JX Nippon Oil & Energy has restarted its crude distillation unit (CDU) at its 400,000 bbl/day Mizushima refinery complex following an unscheduled shutdown, a company source said on Thursday.

 JX Nippon Oil, which is Japan’s largest refiner, restarted the 100,000 bbl/day No 2 CDU at the Mizushima B refinery on 21 December, said the source.

The unit was shut on 26 November, according to the source, who declined to give a reason for the outage.
