China’s Jiangsu Clear Land to shut glycerine plant on 1-3 January

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Chinese soap maker Jiangsu Clear Land Daily Chemical will shut its 6,000 tonne/year glycerine plant at Huai’an city in Jiangsu province in east China on 1-3 January for holidays, a company source said on Friday.

The plant was shut for 10 days of maintenance in the first half of December, according to the source.

The shutdown will not affect the glycerine market because the company has sufficient inventory amid low trading volumes, a market player said.
