SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Zhongyuan Oilfield, a subsidiary of Sinopec, is running its new 120,000 tonne/year gas fractionation unit in Puyang, central Henan province, at full capacity, a company source said on Tuesday.

“The new unit started up early this month, and it is running around 100% currently. It can produce 110 tonnes of propylene per day,” the source said.

The new gas fractionation unit mainly produces liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and propylene.

The company has an old 80,000 tonne/year gas fractionation unit at the same site, but it was shut down after the new one started up, according to the source.
