China LLDPE futures down by 0.3% on poor market fundamentals

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) futures fell by 0.3% on 27 December on poor market fundamentals, industry sources said.

May LLDPE futures, the most actively traded contract on the Dalian Commodity Exchange (DCE), closed at yuan (CNY) 9,375/tonne ($1,483/tonne) on 27 December, down by CNY30/tonne from the settlement price at CNY9,405/tonne on 26 December.

Around 1.56m tonnes of LLDPE, or 625,044 contracts, were traded for delivery in May, DCE data showed.

China’s domestic spot LLDPE prices are stable at CNY9,050-9,500/tonne on 27 December, traders said.
