HOUSTON (ICIS)--Huntsman has acquired Turkish polyurethanes (PU) systems house EMA Kimya Sistemleri Sanayi ve Ticaret, the US-based producer said on Friday.
The Istanbul-based EMA systems house has the capacity to manufacture polyester polyols and blend methyl di-p-phenylene isocyanate (MDI) PU systems used in the insulation, automotive, adhesives, coatings, elastomers and furniture industries, Huntsman said.
EMI 2010 revenues were about $17m (€13m), Huntsman said, adding that in 2010, Turkey’s MDI PU systems grew at a rate of 13-15%.
Huntsman did not disclose the financial details of the acquisition.
