Malaysia’s Titan runs both crackers smoothly after power trip

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Malaysia’s Titan Chemicals is running both its naphtha crackers at Pasir Gudang normally following a brief power trip late last week, a source close to the company said on Tuesday.

One of the two crackers was shut briefly as a result but the source declined to comment on which cracker was affected.

Titan operates a 285,000 tonne/year No 1 cracker and a 435,000 tonne/year No 2 cracker at Pasir Gudang.

Both plants are running at high rates but the source also did not reveal the specific operating rates.
