HOUSTON (ICIS)--The fluid catalytic cracking (FCC) unit of the El Palito refinery in Venezuela started a five-day maintenance procedure to correct a malfunction in the circulation system of catalysts in the reaction area, producer PDVSA said on Tuesday.
PDVSA has enough inventory to cover demand for gasoline and other fuels in the central region of the country, according to the company.
The atmospheric and vacuum distillation units, the naphtha reforming unit and the aromatics plant are running normally, PDVSA said.
The marine terminal and the pipelines that send fuels to the distribution plants of Yagua and Barquisimeto are also running normally, the company said.
