SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Xinjiang Guanghui Industry is building a 1m tonne/year coal-to-olefin unit in 2015, a company source said on Friday.
The unit is located at Hami in Xinjiang province.
“There are no downstream units to be built, and the olefins produced will [probably] be sold [in the domestic] market,” the source said.
The company runs a 1.2m tonne/year coal-to-methanol plant at the same site.
