HOUSTON (ICIS)--A paraxylene (PX) unit at BP's chemical complex in Texas City, Texas, lost power because of bad weather, the company said on Tuesday in a regulatory filing.
The PX-1 unit lost power on Monday, BP said in a filing with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ).
BP said in the filing it was working on resuming normal operations at the unit.
BP did not immediately respond to a request for additional comment.
BP has a PX capacity of 1,271,000 tonnes/year in Texas City, according to ICIS.
