SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Hubei Zedong Chemical has started trial runs at its new 200,000 tonne/year monoammonium phosphate (MAP) plant at Xiangyang in Hubei province, a company source said on Wednesday.

Trial runs at the plant, which produces mainly 55% powdered MAP, were started on 9 January, the source said.

The producer has a 400,000 tonne/year MAP plant at the same site and the company’s MAP capacity will be increased to 600,000 tonnes/year once the new plant comes on stream, the source added.
