SHANGHAI (ICIS)--China’s Tongliao Jinmei Chemical, a subsidiary of Danhua Technology, plans to restart its 200,000 tonne/year monoethylene glycol (MEG) plant in Inner Mongolia on 13 January after an unexpected shutdown, a company source said on Thursday.
The plant was shut down on 29 December 2011 because of a breakdown at a reactor.
Tongliao Jinmei’s MEG plant is the first facility in China to use coal as feedstock in the production of MEG.
