SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China's SK Zhenbang Chemical will shut its 150,000 tonne/year bottle-grade polyethylene terephthalate (PET) plant at Ningbo in Zhejiang province on 15 January for a scheduled turnaround, a company source said on Thursday.

“The planned shutdown will last for 12 days…and the plant is expected to restart in late January,” the source said in Mandarin.

“The shutdown will cut the company’s output by 5,000-6,000 tonnes,” the producer added.

SK Zhenbang is a joint venture between Zhenbang Chemical Fibre, South Korean trading house SK Networks and South Korean producer SK Chemicals.
