HOUSTON (ICIS)--US imports of ammonia in November increased by 11% from October, according to data made available on Friday by the US International Trade Commission (ITC).
Imports of ammonia totalled 527,235 tonnes in November, up from the 476,573 tonnes imported in October, but a decrease from the 609,496 tonnes imported in November 2010, according to the ITC data.
Trinidad & Tobago, at 206,253 tonnes, was the major source for ammonia. Other suppliers of imports included Canada at 99,811 tonnes, Ukraine at 69,024 tonnes and Russia at 59,957 tonnes.
Other sources of ammonia included Venezuela, Estonia, Saudi Arabia, Mexico, Indonesia and Korea.
US importers of ammonia include PotashCorp, Mosaic, CF Industries, Yara, Agrium and Koch.
