SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Taiwan’s Formosa Petrochemical Corporation (FPCC) has bought by tender 75,000 tonnes of naphtha for delivery into Mailiao from end-February to early March amid stable cracker runs, traders said on Thursday.

The cargoes were bought at a premium of slightly below $1/tonne to Japan quotes CFR (cost and freight), they added.

Meanwhile, FPCC is running its three Mailiao-based crackers at 80% capacity, traders said.

FPCC operates a 700,000 tonne/year No 1 cracker, a 1.03m tonne/year No 2 unit and a 1.2m tonne/year cracker at Mailiao.
