HOUSTON (ICIS)--Brazilian imports of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) increased by 23% in 2011 compared with 2010 figures, according to government data obtained on Thursday.

The imported PVC amounted to nearly $610m (€476m) FOB (free on board), up by 34% from the nearly $454m FOB imported in 2010.
The average price in 2011 was $1,276.73/tonne – 9% higher compared with the average price of $1,174.12/tonne in 2010.
