HOUSTON (ICIS)--Brazil imported 8.2% more polycarbonate (PC) in 2011 versus 2010, according to data obtained on Thursday.
The nation imported 81,053 tonnes of PC, up from 74,890 tonnes in 2010, according to the Minister of Development in Brazil.
The value of the material imported also increased from 2011, when it had a value of $272.9m (€212.9m), compared with $214.3m in 2010, a difference of 27%.
The average price in 2011 was $3,367/tonne (€2,626/tonne), which was 17.7% higher than in 2010.
