BOGOTA (ICIS)--Petroquímica de Venezuela (Pequiven) distributed 1.1m tonnes of fertilizer in 2011, the state-owned petrochemical company said on Monday.
In 2012, Pequiven plans to continue to work with producers and agricultural associations in order to promote improvements in the use of fertilizers.
The state-owned company plans to implement petrochemical outreach, training and technical assistance for more than 8,000 farmers and agricultural technicians, according to the statement on the company’s website.
This week the company will work with a technical committee to establish the supply of fertilizers required by farmers for this year.
