HOUSTON (ICIS)--Shell has restarted its Norco cracker in Louisiana that was down for planned maintenance, market sources said on Tuesday.

According to sources, the 862,000 tonne/year unit was restarted on Monday.

The information could not be verified with Shell. A company spokesperson declined to comment, citing competitive reasons.

Shell has a second cracker in Norco with 558,000 tonnes/year of capacity.
