Russian 2011 fertilizer output rises 5.1%

MOSCOW (ICIS)--Russia’s overall production of fertilizers increased last year compared with 2010, Russian statistics agency Rosstat announced on Wednesday.

In 2011, the country’s total output of mineral fertilizers was up by 5.1% year on year, at 18.8m tonnes, according to the agency. Ammonia production saw a year-on-year rise of 4.7%, at 13.9m tonnes, Rosstat said.
