The unit has a nameplate propylene capacity of 250,000-260,000 tonnes/year, but usually produces around 200,000 tonnes/year of the monomer.
The RCC at Balongan was earlier running at 40-45% capacity since 16 January because of technical issues.
The ongoing repair works are expected to be completed by 1 February, the source said.
However, he said that the RCC would be shut for scheduled maintenance starting on 1 March for around 20 days.
Because of the upcoming turnaround, Pertamina is looking to import 3-5 propylene spot cargoes for any March arrival but there are no offers so far, the source added.
