HOUSTON (ICIS)--LyondellBasell will keep its allocation on US butadiene (BD) supply unchanged at 90% in February, market sources said on Monday, citing a letter from the company.
LyondellBasell did not provide a reason for the restriction in its letter, but in previous communications to customers, it has attributed the allocation to manufacturing issues.
The company has 390,000 tonnes/year of BD capacity at an extraction unit in Channelview, Texas.
A LyondellBasell spokesperson did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
