Methanex rolls over methanol February APCP at $440/tonne

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Methanex has nominated its February Asian posted contract price (APCP) for methanol at $440/tonne (€334/tonne), a roll over from January, the company said on Tuesday.

Methanex uses the APCP CFR (cost & freight) Asia as a benchmark for its contracts in South Korea and Japan, with discounts.

Methanex posted its independent European methanol contract price for the first quarter of 2012 at €320/tonne ($421/tonne) FOB (free on board) Rotterdam.

It posted its North America Non Discounted Reference Price at $446/tonne.
