LONDON (ICIS)--Polish production of nitrogen fertilizers in 2011 increased by 8.1% year on year to 1.76m tonnes, the Central Statistical Office of Poland (GUS) said on Tuesday.

Phosphate fertilizer production in Poland rose by 10.8% year on year to 530,000 tonnes, it added.

On 19 January, the GUS predicted that finalised figures – yet to be released – would show Polish fertilizer exports in 2011 returned to levels seen before the 2008 global economic crisis.
