SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Luoyang Petrochemical has shut its 80,000 tonne/year polypropylene (PP) plant at Henan province on 3 February, a company source said on Friday.

The company will shut the plant for 2-3 days because of a technical glitch, the source added.

The plant produces mainly fibre-grade PP and occasionally makes film-grade PP, the source said.

The shutdown will not affect the domestic PP market because of the plant’s low capacity, local distributors said.
