Indonesia’s Sulfindo extends EDC debottlenecking to March

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Indonesia’s Sulfindo Adiusaha has delayed the completion of a debottlenecking exercise at its ethylene dichloride (EDC) plant in Merak to March, a company source said on Thursday.
The unit’s capacity will be raised from 300,000 tonnes/year to 350,000 tonnes/year following the debottlenecking works.
Sulfindo Adiusaha has an integrated chlor-alkali and vinyl production complex at its site at Merak in west Java.
The company operates an 80,000 tonne/year polyvinyl chloride (PVC) unit, a 100,000 tonne/year vinyl chloride monomer (VCM) line and a 262,000 dry metric tonne (dmt)/year caustic soda facility at the site.
