HOUSTON (ICIS)--Valero has started a turnaround at its 205,000 bbl/day St Charles refinery in Louisiana, a US Gulf coast market spot broker confirmed on Thursday.
The turnaround affects the crude and coker units, and is expected to last approximately 10 weeks, Valero said.
Valero’s next turnaround will take place in March at its 180,000 bbl/day Memphis refinery in Tennessee. That turnaround will last five weeks for work on the crude unit.
Valero said the projects will have a material impact on production, but did not disclose the specific start or end dates for the projects.
