SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Iran’s Sepahan Oil is planning to shut its 36,000 tonne/year slack wax unit in Isfahan in late March or early April for maintenance, a company source said on Monday.

“We are not sure of the exact dates as we need to confirm them with the factory,” the source said.

“It is likely to be [shut] for two or three weeks,” the source added.

Slack wax is a feedstock in making paraffin wax.

Major slack wax producers in Asia include Indonesia’s Pertamina and China’s Sinopec and PetroChina.
