The contract was awarded by joint venture Sadara Chemical’s parent companies, Dow Chemical and Saudi Aramco. Financial details were not disclosed.
Foster Wheeler has previously carried out front-end engineering design work for Dow and Saudi Aramco at the Al-Jubail complex, it said.
The $20bn (€15bn) project will be one of the world’s largest integrated chemical facilities and one of the largest built in a single phase, with 26 manufacturing units, Dow and Saudi Aramco said when they signed the joint-venture agreement in October last year.
