Polish PU producer Organika looks at supplying auto producers

LONDON (ICIS)--Poland-based polyurethane (PU) furniture foams producer Organika is analysing a possible move into PU foams production for the auto industry, the company said on Tuesday.

Organika is well positioned for further expansion after a relatively successful 2011 despite the economic difficulties in Europe, it added.

The company is targeting 2012 revenues of zlotych (Zl) 250m ($78.9m, €59.8m) this year, after achieving Zl 230m last year, Organika said.

Based in the northern Polish town of Malbork, near the Baltic Sea, Organika mainly sells flexible foams to furniture manufacturers, with exports accounting for approximately half of its sales.

The company has 10 subsidiaries throughout central, eastern and southeastern Europe, including firms in the Czech RepublicBelarusBulgariaRomaniaSerbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
