HOUSTON (ICIS)--US inventories of nonfuel propylene fell by 0.4% for the week ended 10 February, according to data released by the US Energy Information Administration (EIA) on Wednesday.
Inventories dropped to 4.933m bbl, down from 4.951m bbl for the week ended 3 February.
The decrease happened despite an increase in refinery operating rates. US refineries operated at 84.0% of capacity for the week ended 10 February, compared with 82.8% for the previous week.
EIA figures refer to non-fuel refinery-sourced propylene.
Refinery-grade propylene (RGP) for February was heard done at 66.25–66.375 cents/lb ($1,461–1,463/tonne, €1,110–1,112/tonne) on Wednesday.
RGP traded on Friday at 64.0–67.5 cents/lb.
